2000 Partnerships

So many government agencies, Asian American organizations and professionals in the State of Michigan have started to build ARC in 2000. A few examples are described below. This statewide network model can be expanded to nationwide ARC.

Religious Leaders Lead the Way

  • All religious organizations join the ARC immediately to announce their existence and availability to their world class citizens.

  • The information collected by the ARC is an important tool for government decision-making, such as grant distribution, educational programs allocation, immigration service stations, and health delivery spots. These programs help children, the poor, new immigrants who need to learn English, the unemployed, disabled, abused women, the elderly and the religious community.

BIG FIVE REASONS TO JOIN ARC

Why You Should Join Asian Resource Center

  1. Help to locate Your Asian American Community. Where do Asian Americans live? What do they do? How are their needs met? Where can they get help? What service are they looking for? ARC provides basic resource information to facilitate your sense of identity, development, and cultural integration.

  2. Get Help in Times of Need. When one moves into a new community, she or he needs various types of supports to help settle down. ARC information helps to match the service providers and those in need in a culturally sensitive manner. We identify translators who assist in meeting the educational, health, daily living and employment needs of new immigrants.

  3. Make Government Work for You. It is a good way to tell our government leaders who we are and what we need by listing these facts in ARC. This information is edited from governmental agencies and is used to help determine the distribution of governmental funds to serve the needed Asian Americans. ARC uses this information to obtain grants for community centers, senior citizens programs, and women and children services.

  4. Promote Asian American Businesses. Because the ARC information helps industry reduce financial risk and locate business opportunities, Asian American businesses are able to provide the services you want. Asian scholars can share their research and skills concerning the methods of starting your own business.

  5. Help Yourself and Your Asian Family. Individual professionals can increase their clients by promoting their services in the ARC network.

Because of the Asian Resource Center, we know the progress that Asian Americans have made. Join the Asian Center as a member now by filing your application form.
